Sartre e l’interpretazione dialettica della rivoluzione

Abstract

The paper offers an analysis of the Sartrean interpretation of the French Revolution which is contained in the Critique of the Dialectical Reason. Focus of the study are such central notions as oath, group in fusion, sovereign nation, and the relationships between freedom, brotherhood and Terror. Lévi-Strauss’ criticism at Sartre’s hermeneutical proposal is mentioned together with Lacan’s idea of the anticipated temporality of action. Sartre’s interpretation of the Revolution is finally compared with the one that Hegel puts forward in the Fenomenology of Mind.
