Instructions for authors
Contributions should be submitted in English or French. All essays should include an English abstract of max. 200 words and five keywords.
The editorial staff welcomes interdisciplinary contributions with special attention to innovative trends.
Each issue contains a section devoted to book reviews (up to three reviews).
Publication frequency
The Interpreters’ Newsletter is published once a year.
Peer-review Process
Manuscripts are evaluated on relevance, originality, appropriateness of the selected literature, theory and methods, quality of the analyses, documentation of claims and conclusions, as well as overall readability.
The double-blind review process encompasses the following stages:
- preliminary evaluation by Editorial Board;
- evaluation by two reviewers (a third reviewer may be resorted to in case of major differences between the two evaluations);
- first revision by author and resubmission by the author;
- evaluation by the Editorial Board;
- second revision and resubmission by the author;
- decision about publication by the Editorial Board;
- proofreading and publication.
Open-access policy
The Interpreters’ Newsletter is an open-access journal. This means that all content is available free of charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose. No authorization by the publisher or the author is required. This is in accordance with the BOAI definition of open access.
Publication Charges
There are no submission fees or publication fees.
The Interpreters’ Newsletter is always available in electronic format and in printed version on demand.
