Abstract
Dom Henri Quentin and Félix Grat, in the first half of '900, were two decisive figures for the technical and methodological cataloging of the manuscripts. As well as in the history of classical philology, and for the development of inventories was decisive the experience conducted on the biblical text, from which it passed to the pagans text. In 1937 Grat put his knowledge at the service of the Institute of Research and History of Texts, which promoted and still promotes the photographic cataloging of ancient texts.
