Abstract
The democracy expressed by the political groups of Communard Paris is not the representa-tive democracy that the dominant liberal thought still wants to identify with democracy tout court, considering the others utopian and unachievable, especially the different experiences of direct democracy. The political measures of the Commune imply a rejection of the State, as a separation of governors and governed, a conscious use and a distrust towards the institution of delegation, a renewed principle of democracy as a set of practices in places of life. Marx makes this experience his own, beyond its historical possibilities of success, and through the democratic principles of the Commune enriches his own conception of socialism. A valid lesson on the relationship between proletarian movements and political theorization.
