Abstract
The text deals with the development prospects of a cross-border cultural Ecosystem between Gorizia and Nova Gorica starting from the GO! 2025 event, in which the two towns will be Capital of European Culture (CEC). It is described how a cross-bor¬der cultural Ecosystem can not only enhance the artistic heritage but also promote social and economic cohesion between the towns. Cultural cooperation is proposed as a bridge between the two communities, overcoming historical and linguistic barriers. Various post-event sce¬narios are illustrated, ranging from a potential return to localism to possible synergetic and innovative growth based on long-term cooperation. The success of GO! 2025 will depend on capacity to integrate cultural investments with sustainable economic initiatives, favouring the involvement of local communities and ethnic minorities. The aim is to create a lasting legacy which will transform historical borders into opportunities for intercultural dialogue and innovation.
