"Ennius ohne Vergilius". Lasciti degli "Annales" nella epica imperiale, tarda e cristiana
Mastandrea, Paolo
2008
Abstract
The common opinion is that Annales didn't have a great diffusion after publication of Aeneid and the traces of ennianisms in Lucan, Valerius Flaccus, in Punica or Thebaid are to be ascribed to mediation of Virgil. The scholar discusses instead the parallels (not only formal) between the ennians prototypes of hexametric versification and some later authors passages, in which neither Aeneid nor others ancient texts, reached to us, can be invoked as ‘Zwischenquelle’.
