Abstract
The article highlights how German writers and intellectuals of the so-called “Literarische Moderne” were often under the influence of F. Dostoevsky’s enigmatic characters. In the article, however, it is pointed out how the decadent (anti)heroes turn out to be at best ‘doubles’ of the Dostoevskian heroes, not their ‘relatives’, because they lack the strength, moral or spiritual, positive or negative, that for better or worse the major characters of the great Russian writer possess.
Nell’articolo si mette in rilievo come gli scrittori e gli intellettuali tedeschi della cosiddetta “Literarische Moderne” si trovassero sovente sotto l’influsso degli enigmatici personaggi di F. Dostoevskij. L’articolo, tuttavia, pone l’attenzione su come gli (anti)eroi decadenti si rivelino essere al massimo dei ‘sosia’ degli eroi dostoevskiani, non i loro ‘parenti’, poiché essi mancano di quella forza, morale o spirituale, positiva o negativa, che nel bene o nel male possiedono i principali personaggi del grande scrittore russo.
