Abstract
The article offers a brief review of Russian stage experiences that make use of multimedia and multimodal practices and techniques. The two terms are often confused: while the former emphasises the (technological and digital) means of transmitting information, the latter focuses on the way in which information can be transmitted/received; it is precisely on the different modes of reception (sight, hearing, motion, involvement of several senses) that the analysis is articulated.
