Le chiese distrutte nel Goriziano durante la Grande Guerra

Abstract
In corrispondenza al centenario dello scoppio della Grande Guerra, l’associazione / združenje “Concordia et Pax” di Gorizia e Nova Gorica, ha coordinato la realizzazione di un progetto di ricerca dedicato ad un ambito relegato, fino ad oggi, ad una certa marginalizzazione da parte degli studioso, ossia quello inerente alle chiese distrutte, danneggiate nel corso della prima guerra mondiale sul territorio arcidiocesano goriziano e poi ricostruite o restaurate.
Nel giugno dell'anno 2016 il progetto è giunto ad una prima fase, allorché è stato attivato un sito web dedicato dal titolo: “Resurgent! Ricostruzioni, restauri ed interventi pubblici a favore delle chiese distrutte del Goriziano”, con l’indirizzo http: www.chiesedistruttegorizia.com.
Realizzata grazie al contributo della Fondazione Ca.Ri.Go., in collaborazione con l’Arcidiocesi di Gorizia e gli Archivi di Stato di Gorizia e di Trieste, l'iniziativa è nata perseguendo lo scopo di mettere a disposizione dell’utenza del web – quanto mai vasta e svariata – una banca dati dove fosse possibile ottenere informazioni relative a tutti gli edifici di culto che subirono l’impatto bellico, con particolare attenzione alle cause ed alle entità dei danneggiamenti, oltre che alla descrizione delle vicende che portarono al loro restauro ovvero alla riedificazione, in toto od in parte.
Affidata ai due ricercatori Marco Plesnicar ed Ivan Portelli, la ricerca ha prodotto una ventina di schede dedicate rispettivamente a ciascuna chiesa; nel 2018 è stato trasferito su di un server del Ministero per i Beni e le Attività Culturali, assumendo un nuovo dominio: www.chiesedistruttegorizia.beniculturali.it e, nel contempo, è stato tradotto anche in lingua slovena, grazie all'apporto del prof. Vojko Pavlin.
On the occasion of the centenary of the outbreak of the Great War, the association "Concordia et
Pax" of Gorizia and Nova Gorica has coordinated the implementation of a research project
dedicated to an area which up to now has been rather marginalised by academics, i.e. that of the
churches destroyed or damaged during the First World War in the Archdiocese of the province of
Gorizia, which were then rebuilt or restored.
In June 2016, the project entered its first phase with the arrival of a dedicated website entitled
"Resurgent! State work, reconstruction and restorations on Gorizia's destroyed churches", with the
address http: www.chiesedistruttegorizia.com.
Created with the help of the Fondazione Ca.Ri.Go., in collaboration with the Archdiocese of
Gorizia and the State Archives of Gorizia and Trieste, the initiative was launched with the aim of
providing web users – as numerous and varied as ever – with a database where they can obtain
information on all the religious buildings impacted by the war, with a particular focus on the causes
and magnitude of the damage, in addition to a description of the events which led to their
restoration or their reconstruction in full or in part.
Carried out by the two researchers Marco Plesnicar and Ivan Portelli, the research returned twenty
or so profiles on each church: in 2018, it was transferred to a server of the Ministry for Cultural
Heritage and Activities and acquired a new domain: www.chiesedistruttegorizia.beniculturali.it and,
at the same time, it was also translated into Slovenian with the help of prof. Vojko Pavlin.
