Abstract
According Le Corbusier (1936), Wall Street skyscrapers repeat “Bramante’s architectural order”. Indeed, important
references for the first Chicago School can be found in the book Regola delli cinque ordini d’architettura,
by Jacopo Barozzi called Il Vignola: after the first edition in 1562, the Regola was published in U.S.A. at
the end of 19th century, when John Root opened his atelier in New York City.
