“Samozvanstvo” as a phenomenon in Gogol’s creation

Abstract
This work aims to regard the “samozvanstvo”
in the Gogol’s work as a
phenomenon, not only historically and
culturally associated with Russian history,
but also a distinctive feature of
the Russian spirit, associated with the
desire to find oneself in the “other”,
to dissapear in the “other” or to find
a firm stronghold in this mirage. This
work elaborates on the beginnings of
several basic paths of metamorphosis
that the phenomenon has undergone
in the works of Puskin, Gogol
and Dostoevsky.
Данная работа имеет целью рассмо-
треть феномен самозванства в твор-
честве Гоголя как явление, не только
исторически и культорологически
связанное с русской историей, но
и отличительное свойство русского
духа, связанное с желанием найти в
«другом» себя, скрыться в «другом»
или найти твердую опору. В работе
делается попытка наметить, как
явление проходит через метамор-
фозу в творчестве Пушкина, Гоголя
и Достоевского.
