Abstract
It is the first of two volumes dealing with B. de Finetti's consistent probability theory, exposing the main arguments of his probability theory. For comparison purposes, the text of this volume also contains elements of the classical probability theory (of Kolmogorov) and abounds in examples and references to basic mathematical notions. Three goals are pursued: introducing formal tools to consolidate and deepen various aspects of the theory; To facilitate the reading of de Finetti's theory (and work) to mathematical scholars; Make accessible the study of the theory of probabilities consistent with students of science and economics courses with propensity for mathematics.
