L’ANALISI DEI PROCESSI DI INSULARIZZAZIONE NELLA FORMAZIONE DELLO STATO ITALIANO

Abstract

L’Italia è una nazione giovane costruita sull’unione di tanti Stati divisi inizialmente tra loro sulla base non solo della storia, ma della lingua, cultura, economia e di tanti altri elementi tali da renderli unici e facilmente riconoscibili come entità politiche a se. La loro unione ha comportato l’abbattimento di barriere geografiche di varia natura che costruitesi nel tempo, avevano reso gli scambi tra popolazioni vicine difficili e rari. Queste barriere hanno permesso di isolare l’uno dall’altro i diversi Stati come se fossero delle vere e proprie “isole” e si potesse parlare di insularizzazione come di un processo di separazione e di sviluppo autonomo. Le barriere tra quelli che erano gli Stati prima dell’Unità d’Italia si presentano come elementi riconoscibili cartograficamente per particolari caratteristiche ambientali (Cartografia fisica), evidenze storiche (Cartografia storica), culturali, economiche e linguistiche.
