Abstract
Nel presente contributo viene applicata una metodologia, elaborata in un lavoro precedente, per lo studio dei principali cambiamenti urbani attraverso tecniche G.I.S., utilizzando carte storiche e Piani Regolatori. L'area Studiata è il Centro Storico della città di Trieste. Si è voluta dare un'immediata visione delle trasformazioni avvenute nel tessuto urbano durante il XX secolo in seguito all'attuazione dei Piani Regolatori del 1934 e 1962 ed è stata fatta una valutazione quantitativa delle variazioni riscontrate. Si è voluto, inoltre, verificare l'effettivo rispetto delle destinazioni dell'uso del suolo previste per l'area e il ruolo che i resti archeologici riportati alla luce nel corso degli anni '30 hanno avuto nella pianificazione urbana del passato e nell'ultimo Piano Regolatore del 1997.
In this paper we apply a methodology, presented in a previous work, which uses G.I.S. technologies for the study of the main urban changes with historical maps and General Town Plans. We analyse the historical Centre of Trieste. The purpose is to give an immediate visual perception of the urban structure development of the city Center during the XX Century after the applying of the plan regulations of 1934 and 1962, by representing them in thematic maps and quantifying the changes. Then we verify the respect of zoning for the area and the role of archaeological sites, unearthed during the 1930's, in the urban planning of the past and in the last General Town Plan, made in 1997.
