Abstract
The discovery of two marble sculptures by Andrea Malfatti (1832-1917) and Francesco Barzaghi (1839-1892),
already known in several specimens, provides an opportunity to deepen our knowledge about the relations
between the two artists and to verify the international success of the so-called “School of Milan” in the second
half of 19th century.
