Abstract
The social report of the Trans2Care project is ready, two years after the conclusion of
its activities on 30th September 2014. Subsequently, the project has been included in
the programme of 12 public events, promoted by Universities and by the offices of the
European Commission and serving as a good example.
With this project, we the Partners have created a network for scientific cooperation that
has no borders, joining forces to improve the results of research, rendering them suitable
for transfer to companies and to construct a cultural basis for future research and
innovation projects. This was useful for the 14 researchers, hired with project funds for 3
years and for their subsequent employment in research and development at a local level.
This report is not meant to be a point of arrival, but a framework for everyone facing
the challenges of local social, economic and scientific development that, day by day,
is becoming more pressing in its complexity and urgency. Now, however, we are not
starting from scratch all over again.
We would like to thank the Programme for Cross-Border Cooperation Italy-Slovenia 2007-
2013 for the continued support of our work.
