Abstract
The paper will discuss some aspects of Carmelo Vigna’s philosopy, as explained in his three books: Il frammento e l’intero, Sostanza e relazione and Etica del desiderio come etica del riconoscimento. By assuming an ethical viewpoint, first of all the paper describes Vigna’s idea of “substance” – a dynamic idea, which is interlaced with the other idea of “relationship” –, after that it discusses his conception of “desire” and the role that desire plays in human ethics, and finally develops the relation between “theory” and “ethics” which is exposed in Vigna’s books.
