Abstract:
L' inscription de Smyrne sur le proconsul Flavius Bai bus Diogenianus ( «AE», 2003, 1673 ;
Fulvius Diogenianus.

The inscription from Smyrna mentioning the proconsul Flavius Balbus Diogenianus («AE», 2000, 1673 ; «SEG», LIII, 2003, 1330) belongs to the reign of Maximinus Thrax, as demonstrated by the restoration of erasures. The characteristics of the vocabulary evidentiate military activities of the governor. It seems possible to correct the gentilicium of the senator Fulvius Diogenianus in DC, 78, 35, 5.
