Abstract
La ventina di frammenti di ceramica cnidia finora noti da Aquileia testimonia le strette relazioni di questo centro, alla sommità delle rotte adriatiche, con l'Egeo orientale e in particolare con l'area di Cnido. Ciò avvenne almeno a partire dall'età flavia e durò probabilmente fino ai primi decenni del III sec. d. C. Tra i frammenti conservati nel museo di Aquileia uno solo reca un'iscrizione, presente già nella matrice. Esso appartiene alla produzione cnidia di contenuto erotico, ben nota già agli antichi. Il testo indica che la donna raffigurata è la nota cortigiana Laide di Corinto.
The approximately twenty fragments of Cnidian pottery so far known from Aquileia testify the close relations of this center, at the top of the Adriatic shipping routes, with the eastern Aegean area and in particular with Cnidus. This was done at least from the Flavian age and probably lasted until the first decades of the third century. A.D. Among the pieces housed in the museum of Aquileia one bears an inscription, already present in the matrix. It belongs to the Cnidian production with erotic content, formerly well known to the ancients. The text states that the depicted woman is the well known Lais of Corinth.
