Abstract: This paper discusses Menga’s book on intergenerational justice (Lo scandalo del futuro. Per una giustizia intergenerazionale, Roma 2016) by proposing a fourfold extension of its conceptual categories: by means of an ontology of possibility; by addressing an ontology of relationality; by underscoring the category of generativity; and by analyzing the importance of a u-topian (much more than an a-topian) responsibility for future generations.
