Endre Ady na hrvatskom jeziku

Abstract
The first volume of Endre Ady's verse to be published in Croatian was
translated by Josip Krleža (Osijek 1977). Even before that, Ady was no
stranger to the Croatian public.
Miroslav Krleža, who wrote an essay about Ady in 1930, had also
previously translated some of his poetry.
The volume translated by Josip Krleža contains a total of 51 poems. The
selection made is excellent and includes not only the poems usually
published in anthologies, but also some of Ady's work which is less
known, but which is nevertheless very important from an artistic point of
view. With the exception of some major digressions, Josip Krleža
attempted to preserve the content as well as the form of the Hungarian
original.
