Global warming, as Gardiner says in A Perfect Moral Storm, reveals a deficit in our thinking about intergenerational justice as well as in moral behaviour. In response Fritsch develops models of intergenerational justice that make intergenerational relationships central to ethical life. But how can these models be applied to our social world, and how do they compare to other approaches to intergenerational justice? This contribution raises questions about how his models should be interpreted and how they should be translated into requirements of intergenerational justice.it
