Abstract
This article aims to provide an overview of the historiography concerning the Albanian Communist Party (Pksh) from its founding in 1941 to the seizure of power in 1944. To better expose the different and contradictory points of view that exist, the study addresses both the debates consumed during the years of the communist regime, inside and outside Albania, and those that emerged after its collapse. The goal is to reconstruct and reflect on that historiographical debate, and to show how the dynamics of the Pksh in the period indicated have been of great importance both following the establishment of the commu¬nist regime and after its collapse.
