In viaggio per realizzare un sogno

Details

Apparently, the overall image of Italy outlined in Russia between the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries does not differ significantly from the conventional vision of Nordic travelers. In fact, the approach of the Russians to Italy has elements of originality that change the perception of the peninsula with respect to the traditional patterns. The perception of the peninsula as a myth responds to the need, ubiquitous in the Russian consciousness strongly marked by the orthodox category of sobornost’ , of ecumenism and of a communion found again with Europe.
