Abstract
This study starts out from a few categories considered relevant to simultaneous interpretation from Portuguese into Italian to compare linguistic aspects of Portuguese and Italian that can prove to be an obstacle in understanding and reformulating the interpreted text. This reflection focuses in particular on issues concerning certain segmental and suprasegmental aspects, in addition to the use of pronouns in their anaphoric and deictic function, verb tenses and modes and the order of elements in the sentence. This study intends to provide a basis for further studies and an experimental verification of the problematic aspects considered.
