La tradizione latina nella letteratura slovena

Abstract
Starting from '500, Latin and his writers have a decisive impact on shaping the modern Slovenian culture. The Jesuits formed the intelligentsia of Slovenia for centuries, while Horace was the foundation of his poetry in the Enlightenment age. The Romanticism, with Prešeren, focus instead on the Latin elegy and Lucan. Despite the decline of Latin, even in ‘900 some poets have continued to honor the ancient language, as well as suffer the influence of Greek and Latin writers, many of them translated by Anton Sovrè.
