Conversione poetica e riconversione letteraria: l’epistola di Saffo nelle Heroides
2006-08-23T07:14:20Z
Abstract
While in lyric poetry song springs from a manifold form of love which constantly renews itself, in elegy a single form of this one corresponds to its specific poetic domain. In Ovid’s Heroid about Sappho, the protagonist moves almost between lyrical and elegiac experience. In this “recoding of elegy”, the experience of the poetess, torn between a love which is lived and a love which is sung, between the past now lost and productive memory, should be read as an image of a subtle discussion about poetry itself.
