Abstract
come bene culturale.
The contribution focuses on the importance of the cattle-tracks atlas and reports products at the Dogana of Foggia, from the seventeenth to the nineteenth century, for the analysis of network cattle-tracks and landscapes typical of transhumance. In fact, studying the maps which were drawn between the eighteenth and nineteenth century and dedicated to Pescasseroli-Candela cattle-track it is shown how the cattle-track landscape was represented and the relationship between this one and territorial texture. It is, in addition, useful to know the comparison of maps to understand the changes between the eighteenth and nineteenth century, particularly in the analysis of the relationship between the cattle-track path and urban development of Isernia. Then the case study is important to show how the cattle-track heritage is meaningful to discover landscapes faded by time, to focus on the techniques used for their representation, up to establish itself as a cultural heritage. Finally, the relationship between the cattle tracks historical cartography and digital mapping is also clarified.
