Abstract
The archaeological excavation carried out in 2011 in the apse of the Duomo of Muggia brought to light structures belonging to the previous church characterized by three apses, already identified in the 1930s. The 2011 excavation yielded data regarding the pian and diachronic sequence of the structures preexisting the current building, thus clarifying the history of this sacred monument.
